Songs of Legacy: I Stood Still
I stood still against the whirling wind
Like an oak tree invincible against the raging storms of time
The grass grew, the moon shone bright and the flowers died
But the dreams are still in my eyes.
In my heart a thousand changes while waiting
A day it was like a thunder on a stormy night
A year it was like angels singing a joyous hymn
And a month it was like a calm sea on a windless night.
