BV and other conditions

Findings and researches on BV have shown several important facts about the condition. Some of them are:

1.     Lupus or SLE (Systemic Lupus Erythematosus) makes one more vulnerable to the condition and other similar conditions because of the lowering of the immune system.

2.     The levels of estrogen in women also make them highly at risk of infection since both high and low levels of estrogen damage the vaginal lining. Low levels of estrogen make it vulnerable to infection while high levels of estrogen weaken the lining. This is the reason why women who take birth control pills and pregnant women are highly susceptible.
