Songs of Legacy: The Traveler

We must not forget to pay homage to the art of poetry so here is another poem from my Songs of Legacy.

“The Traveler”

Alone you walked and you passed them by
Saddened by the thought that you just came by
You must not linger for time flies by
And sorry you were not able to say goodbye.

You wonder when you will be there
So many nights had passed and still no day
You wonder when you will ever be there
Knowing in your heart that you cannot stay.

There are many questions left unanswered
Still many beautiful songs left unheard
And mountains yet to be climbed
While somewhere wishing you were there.

A lot of tears have fallen
Many times hearts were broken
And all the while loosing everything in pain
But who would have thought courage will return?

Your footsteps echoes in the halls of time
Have you found what you have been looking?
Your shadows fade in people’s lives

Have you found welcome at last?
